Description:
Responsible for designing, developing, and optimising advanced surveillance hardware and systems. This role involves creating innovative product designs, integrating electronics, optics, sensors, and embedded technologies, and ensuring the final product meets performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Product Design & Development

Design and develop surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras, network video devices, access control sensors, radars, thermal imaging devices, and related systems.

Create detailed engineering designs, including schematics, mechanical layouts, and 3D models.

Develop prototypes and iterate designs to improve performance, durability, and manufacturability.
Hardware & System Integration

Integrate optics, imaging sensors, PCBs, embedded processors, wireless modules, and power systems.

Collaborate with embedded software teams to optimize system performance, image quality, and processing capabilities.

Evaluate new technologies (e.g., AI chips, lenses, IR illuminators, thermal sensors) for product enhancement.
Testing & Validation

Perform engineering tests including thermal tests, EMI/EMC, vibration, ingress protection (IP rating), and field reliability testing.

Debug design issues and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FCC, CE, UL, RoHS, NDAA, etc.).
Documentation & Compliance

Prepare engineering documentation: design specifications, BOMs, test reports, and manufacturing instructions.

Support certification processes and provide technical information to regulatory bodies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work with manufacturing to ensure design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) compliance.

Partner with product managers to translate market needs into technical requirements.

Support supply chain teams with component selection and vendor evaluation.
