Description:
Mine Foreman oversees and coordinates daily mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and productive extraction of minerals. supervising mining crews, monitoring equipment and production activities, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Statutory & Legal Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Mines Act & Regulations, DGMS guidelines, and IBM-approved Mining Plan.Maintain statutory registers. Ensure benches, ramps, & haul roads as per DGMS standards. Production & Mine Operations: Achieve daily/shift targets for limestone production and overburden removal. Supervise drilling patterns suitable for limestone strata. Monitor and guide excavation, loading, and hauling cycles. Ensure smooth coordination between crusher feed, stockpile management, and mine production.Drilling & Blasting Supervision: Check drilling quality: depth, burden, spacing, inclination, stemming practices. Coordinate with blaster for charging and firing. Maintain safe blasting zone, warning signals, and access control. Handle misfires following DGMS-approved procedures. Record all blasting details in statutory blasting registers.Safety, Health & Environment (HSE): Conduct Tool Box Talks, safety briefings, and hazard identification. Enforce PPE usage and ensure compliance with DGMS safety codes. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and accident/near-miss reporting. Ensure control of dust (water sprinkling), noise, and environmental compliance. Maintain dump yard safety, & waste rock management. Equipment & HEMM Management: Supervise HEMM such as dumpers, excavators, drills, Water tankers. Conduct daily pre-operation checks and ensure safe equipment operation. Report breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance for timely repairs. Monitor diesel consumption, equipment working hours, idle time & productivity. Workforce Management: Assign tasks to operators, helpers, loaders, drillers, fitters, and field workers. Monitor attendance, discipline, and ShiftWise performance. Train workers in safe mining practices. Manage manpower as per Mines Act working hours and rest rules. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily production reports, equipment utilization reports, and shift logs. Maintain statutory safety and inspection records. Assist in preparation of Daily MIS reports. Keep records ready for internal and external audits.
