Description:
Proficiency in geological and survey software (Surpac, AutoCAD, Minex, etc.). Knowledge of statutory mining guidelines. Strong analytical and planning skills. Good communication and team leadership. Geological Exploration & Resource Evaluation: Plan and execute geological surveys, core drilling, and sampling programs. Evaluate mineral reserves/resources through data analysis and geological modeling. Prepare geological reports, reserve estimations, and feasibility studies. Mine Surveying & Mapping: Supervise daily survey operations for mine planning, production, and development. Ensure accurate topographical and volumetric surveys using DGPS, Total Station, and other modern equipment. Maintain up-to-date surface and underground plans and sections. Data Management & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive geological and survey databases. Prepare and submit reports as per statutory norms (IBM, DGMS, MoEFCC, etc.). Support statutory compliance for monthly, quarterly, and annual returns. Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with mine planning, production, and environmental teams to provide geological input. Assist in mine development and production planning through geological forecasting. Coordinate with drilling contractors and lab teams for analysis and timely reporting. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Mines Act, MMDR Act, Mineral Conservation Rules, and other statutory obligations. Keep records updated for inspections, audits, and government submissions. Technology & Innovation: Implement GIS, AutoCAD, Surpac, Minex, or other mining software for modeling and survey analysis. Recommend technological upgrades to improve accuracy and efficiency. Team Management: Lead and guide the geology and survey teams. Plan training and skill development programs for geologists and surveyors.
